Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist in Charge experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A leadership opportunity is available for a pharmacist to serve as Pharmacist in Charge at a retail pharmacy location in Prophetstown, IL. This contract-to-hire role offers the chance to manage pharmacy operations and ensure adherence to regulations while fostering a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff. Candidate flexibility is welcomed, including those willing to travel temporarily as the company searches for a local candidate.

Location: Prophetstown, IL
Schedule/Hours:

• Monday – Friday
• 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
  Software System: McKesson Enterprise

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with all state and federal laws and regulations
• Supervise, train, and manage pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to maintain high standards
• Review and verify prescription orders, ensuring accuracy for patient safety
• Manage medication inventory, controlled substances, and maintain thorough pharmacy documentation
• Develop and enforce pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality assurance protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and improve patient outcomes
• Maintain a safe, efficient, and compliant workflow within the pharmacy

Qualifications:

• Active and clear Illinois pharmacist license
• Some prior experience in pharmacy management or as a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC)
