LaSalle Network is partnering with a transportation organization in the western suburbs of Chicago to help them find a Payroll and Benefits Specialist to join their team! With a hybrid work structure, you'll lead the end-to-end processing of multi-state payroll, manage comprehensive benefits programs, and oversee leave of absence compliance. This is a rewarding opportunity for a detail-oriented professional eager to make an impact through operational excellence, regulatory compliance, and innovative process improvements in a global supply chain environment.

Required Skills:

• Minimum of 5+ years' experience in multi-state payroll processing and benefits administration
• Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations
• Prior Benefit administration and open enrollment experience
• Proven expertise managing leave programs such as FMLA, ADA, and disability
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities
• Proficient communication skills and stakeholder management experience
• High attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance
• Experience with HRIS/payroll systems like UKG (UltiPro) is preferred

Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience with reconciliation, audits, and compliance reporting
• Intermediate Excel skills, including pivot tables and data analysis
• Familiarity with benefits vendor management and invoice reconciliation

Preferred Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field preferred
• 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll and benefits in a complex, multi-state environment

Other Requirements:

• Willingness to engage in process improvement initiatives and system enhancements
• Ability to handle sensitive, confidential information with discretion
• Flexibility to adapt to regulatory changes and support internal and external audits
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus!
