Job Location and Compensation Location: Easley, South Carolina, United States of America Hours: 40 per week Pay: $23.25 - $30.75 USD per hour Job Summary The Retail Banker II is a customer liaison that delivers TD’s brand promise by offering financial expertise and consultative advice to customers. The role focuses on advising customers on banking solutions, generating sales, and nurturing relationships to support their financial goals. Responsibilities Act as a subject‑matter expert in the store for both customers and colleagues regarding personal and business banking products, services, policies, and procedures. Recommend products based on customer needs, highlighting features and benefits that save time and money. Build and nurture customer relationships through active listening and additional conversation to identify needs and offer solutions or referrals. Utilize Customer Relationship Management tools to proactively assess customer needs and lead outbound sales activities. Resolve customer problems independently and, when necessary, issue escalation. Explain detailed information to the team and build working relationships with customers and related teams. Participate in customer outreach, servicing, and advice activities to deliver on the bank’s “human” promise. Converse with customers about loan products, facilitate applications, and maintain an active NMLS registration. Be cross‑trained to perform client transactions such as check cashing, deposits, transfers, and withdrawals while ensuring fraud mitigation. Escalate non‑standard or high‑risk transactions as required. Support compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act, and other regulatory requirements. Enhance customer financial confidence through financial education and self‑service options. Act as a brand champion externally and internally, recognizing self‑service channels and digital options. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required; 2‑year degree preferred. At least 2+ years of customer‑service or sales experience; teller experience is preferred. Cross‑training ability to handle multiple customer transactions in a fast‑paced environment. Superior customer‑service skills. Strong organizational, communication, problem‑solving, scheduling, and prioritization skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Community service, financial education classes, or notary license are preferred. Must maintain an active NMLS registration. Legal and Compliance This position falls within the definition of a Loan Originator under RegulationZ of the Truth in Lending Act and the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act (SAFE Act).
