Pupil Accounting

Description The Pupil Accounting staff member performs such duties as necessary to provide support to the administrative staff of the Academy to facilitate the creation of an efficient and effective operation for teaching and learning. The Pupil Accounting staff member, an administrative support staff member, presents a positive image of the Academy to parents, staff, students and the community. The Pupil Accounting staff member handles all matters related to their duties in a confidential matter regarding students, student records, staff, parents and other Academy related matters. Requirements Assist the Secretary in answering the telephone, taking and delivering messages, screening calls, maintaining calendars and scheduling appointments for the administrative staff. Maintain and organize a workable filing system for all student and staff accounting reports and documents. Record and monitor student attendance and tardies. Maintain all student enrollment and registration information and assist with enrollment and registration of students. Update and maintain all employee information files. Schedule such services as the mobile dentist, vision and hearing test and pictures through Life Touch. Maintain and report appropriately all Pupil Accounting Fall and Supplemental counts. Provide all pupil reports to Wayne RESA. Maintain and monitor all fire and tornado drills. Maintain and monitor school clock/hours/days form for state reports. Complete, monitor and report such data entry services as ethnicity reports, immunization reports and weekly health reports. Maintain, monitor and update all Zangle reports and information regarding students and staff. Maintain and monitor all records and expenditures related to 31A and 41A. Maintain information regarding staff payroll. Maintain and report all Walker forms, Teacher Student Data Link ("TSDL"), class dismissal log and time sheets for staff. Assist visitors and parents with needed information and translate information as necessary. Perform such other duties as assigned by the Principal or other administrators. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Previous secretarial experience and training is desirable but not required. Organizational skills while completing assigned tasks. Word processing skills for the completion of assigned tasks. Proficiency in oral and written communication skills. Proficiency in the operation of office machines including the computer, copier, and fax machines, etc. Knowledge of software applications such as word processing, spreadsheets and data base management. Display responsibility, initiative and the exercise of good judgment in the fulfillment of assigned tasks. Display a professional and personable attitude toward staff, students, parents and the community while fulfilling assigned duties. Complete all assigned tasks in a confidential manner.
