Job Description
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP), is responsible for providing a full range of speech-language pathology services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualifications, professional practices and ethical standards.
Responsibilities
Evaluates patients to identify speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders through clinical assessments, standardized tests, and patient interviews.
Develops and implements individualized therapy plans based on assessment findings, setting measurable goals to address patients' specific needs.
Provides therapy to improve patients' communication skills, including articulation, language comprehension, voice modulation, and fluency, as well as swallowing and feeding abilities.
Educates patients and their families about the nature of disorders, therapy techniques, and strategies to support progress and enhance communication and swallowing in daily life.
Maintains accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment plans in compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Other duties as assigned.
Education: Master Degree
Experience: 0-1 years
Licenses and Certifications:
Must have and maintain a current, valid state SLP licensure
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) preferred or required
Current valid CPR certification, preferred
Travel: Yes. Minimally, as required (Typically less than 10%)
