The ideal candidate is a working manager and strategic problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment. Rather than delegating from afar, you will actively lead, mentor, and cross-train a department of approximately 15 auditors and key supervisors. You will bring deep expertise in casino accounting and regulatory compliance, advanced technical proficiency in Excel, and a proven ability to motivate and lead a diverse team.Required Qualifications & Experience Industry Experience: 5–10+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience within the casino/gaming and hospitality industry. Dual-Domain Knowledge: Demonstrated expertise in Gaming Accounting combined with working knowledge or oversight experience in Non-Gaming revenue operations (hotel, food & beverage, retail, etc.). Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred. Equivalent extensive practical experience will be considered. Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (mastery of Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, formulas, and complex spreadsheet management/upgrades) and Windows-based accounting software. Leadership Style: Highly motivated, self-driven "thinker" who takes ownership of departmental success without needing close direction. Licensing: Ability to obtain and maintain a state Gaming Registration/License. Core Competencies Deep working knowledge of Count Room procedures, cage transactions, and gaming revenue controls. Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. Great interpersonal skills with a patient, teaching-oriented management style. High level of professional guest and internal service ethics.salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4 PMeducation: BachelorsResponsibilities Oversee daily audit operations for both gaming and non-gaming revenue streams, ensuring accurate compilation of numbers for the Daily Operating Report (DOR). Direct month-end financial closing processes for casino and non-gaming accounting records. Maintain, upgrade, and optimize complex financial spreadsheets and audit models. Review supporting documentation for balance sheet account reconciliations. Participate actively in the annual departmental budgeting process. Direct supervisory oversight of the Count Room Manager and audit leadership team. Prepare monthly gaming tax returns, quarterly/annual license filings, and end-of-year tax forms (including W-2Gs and 1042s). Serve as the primary point of contact for external/internal auditors, the Gaming Control Board, the IRS, and other regulatory agencies. Ensure full compliance with Minimum Internal Control Standards (MICS), internal policies, and gaming regulations. Lead, coach, and develop a team of ~15 auditors, supervisors, and managers with an emphasis on cross-training across gaming and non-gaming disciplines. Foster a collaborative, positive workplace culture through constructive communication and hands-on teaching.
