Position: Agronomy Operations Manager

Location: Custar, Ohio

Position Summary

The Agronomy Operations Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the agronomy facility, including product handling, inventory management, application support, and employee supervision. This role ensures safe, efficient, and profitable operations while delivering outstanding service to customers and supporting the cooperative's overall goals.

Key Responsibilities

Lead daily agronomy operations, including product handling, blending, loading, and application logistics.
Manage facility maintenance, inventory control, and operational efficiency.
Supervise, train, and develop agronomy operations employees.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Support customer relationships and collaborate with agronomy sales staff to meet customer needs.
Monitor operational performance, manage costs, and identify process improvements.
Coordinate with other Legacy locations to support cooperative objectives.

Qualifications

Experience in agronomy, agricultural operations, or a related field preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.
Class A CDL with Hazmat and Tanker endorsements, or the ability to obtain.
Applicator license, or the ability to obtain.
Strong customer service and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, seasonal agricultural environment.
Basic computer and recordkeeping skills.
