Somerset Hills YMCA is currently seeking energetic and motivational Fitness Floor Supervisors to support our mission in strengthening the community through healthy living. As a Fitness Floor Supervisor you will provide member service, guidance and leadership to all members and participants in the Wellness Center. You are responsible for maintaining a safe, enjoyable, and positive environment that promotes member wellness and engagement per YMCA policies and procedures, including updated COVID-19 safety and cleaning regulations. This job is fully on-site, not remote.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Provides a high level of customer service greeting each member by first name.
• Creates a safe, positive, and motivating environment for members and staff.
• Maintains cleanliness and neatness of the wellness area and report any equipment issues.
• Build effective and authentic relationships with members; help members connect with each other and the YMCA.
• Assists with the promotion of YMCA Healthy Living Programs including Personal Training, Chronic Disease Programming, Group Exercise Classes, etc.
• Observe participants and members activities; enforce safety regulations and positively explain and interpret all YMCA safety policies.
• Conduct eGym, equipment, and youth orientations.
• Walk through and monitor the Wellness Center frequently.
• Participate in Annual Campaign.

Requirements: Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Working knowledge of body mechanics and physical fitness principles.
• CPR, First Aid and AED Certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with members and staff.
• Evening & Weekend availability.
