Software Engineer 3 - Contingent

A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring for a Ab Initio Software Engineer

Position type: Contract
Duration: 12 months contract
Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid - 3days onsite & 2 days WFH)


As a Ab Initio Software Engineer you will:

• Maintain, support, and enhance existing ETL applications and data integration workflows.
• Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolution of incidents.
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and deploy ETL solutions using Ab Initio, PySpark, and Python.
• Lead and execute the migration of ETL jobs and data pipelines from Ab Initio to PySpark.
• Work closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to support code generation, refactoring, testing, documentation, and migration activities.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Experience in ETL development and data integration.
• Hands-on experience with Ab Initio or PySpark, Python, and Oracle Database.
• Experience supporting and maintaining enterprise-scale data processing applications.
• Experience with production support, incident management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience with cloud-based data platforms and modern data engineering practices.
• Knowledge of DevOps, CI/CD, version control, and automated testing methodologies.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot, or similar) to improve development productivity, accelerate migrations, and enhance code quality.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $55 - $60 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
