Job Opportunity: Full-Time Urgent Care Provider

We are excited to announce an opening for a full-time Urgent Care Provider to become part of our dynamic multispecialty healthcare team in Santa Barbara, California.

Our established urgent care facility is integrated within a larger multispecialty clinic, utilizing a shared electronic health record system to promote seamless collaboration and continuity of care. This role presents a unique chance to deliver same-day, walk-in services for patients experiencing acute or urgent health issues, whether they come through self-referral or are directed by our network of primary care and specialty providers. You will have immediate access to advanced imaging technologies (such as x-ray, ultrasound, and CT scans) and laboratory testing, allowing you to diagnose and manage a wide array of urgent medical conditions in a single, convenient location. This approach aligns with the triple aim of healthcare: providing the right care, at the right time, in the right setting.

Position Details:

• Flexible Schedule: Typically three 12-hour shifts per week
• Patient Volume: 30-35 patients daily
• Responsibilities:
  • Assessing and treating a diverse patient population, from minor injuries and infections to complex cases requiring swift diagnostics
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests
  • Administering and prescribing medications
  • Providing patient education and counseling
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals within the multispecialty group or emergency department to ensure coordinated care
  • Maintaining accurate and current medical records

Compensation:

Salary: One-year guarantee ranging from $280,000 to $340,000. This figure represents the base salary for full-time physicians and does not include additional incentives or benefits. The base salary may be adjusted based on experience, community needs, and other relevant factors.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO with relevant experience in urgent care
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
• Ability to perform standard urgent care procedures
• DEA Certification
• Eligibility to work in the United States
• California Licensure or the ability to obtain it
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
