Department Manager

Responsibilities Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience at every visit. Some managers also lead Departments, such as Training, Food Safety, and Inventory Management. Their responsibilities may include setting goals, delegating tasks to their teams, following up, and reporting results back to their team and other managers. The Guest Service Department Manager is responsible for ensuring that Crew and Managers deliver a great customer experience, that sales promotions are executed effectively, that all service staff are trained in service procedures, and that the Front Counter, McCafé, and Drive‑Thru areas are organized for optimal service. The Kitchen Department Manager ensures the restaurant delivers high‑quality food quickly, that food safety standards are maintained, that food costs are controlled, and that all kitchen staff are trained in production procedures, including new menu items. The People Department Manager ensures the restaurant hires qualified crew, provides comprehensive training, schedules staff to meet sales and profit goals, and fosters a positive work environment through recognition and motivation. Qualifications Previous managerial experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Candidates should be positive team players with flexible schedules, and enjoy working in the fast‑paced McDonald’s environment.
