What You’ll Bring:

• Current PA Instructional I or II Certification in Mathematics for grades 6-8 (required)
• Minimum of one year’s teaching experience in a math classroom
• Deep understanding of core math concepts and effective instructional strategies for diverse learners
• Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
• Enthusiasm for curriculum planning, differentiating instruction, and collaborating with colleagues
• Dedication to maintaining clear communication with students, families, and administrators
• Candidates holding only emergency certification cannot be considered for this role

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging mathematics lessons to 6th grade students, nurturing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Assess student progress through a variety of formal and informal evaluations, adjusting instruction as needed
• Collaborate closely with grade-level teams and participate in professional development activities
• Establish a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom atmosphere that promotes respect and curiosity
• Communicate regularly and effectively with students’ families regarding progress and classroom activities
• Maintain accurate records for attendance, assignments, and academic performance

This position offers a weekly schedule of 40 hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:15 AM to 4:15 PM. Compensation ranges from $36.25 to $46.25 per hour, reflecting your expertise and commitment.
