RN - PACU

The registered nurse provides individualized nursing care based on knowledge of basic competencies in the fundamentals of peri-anesthesia nursing and pharmacology using the nursing process applied to geriatric, adult, and adolescent patients from admission through discharge. This position requires knowledge of peri-anesthesia standards of care, airway management, nursing assessment parameters, and pharmacology, including doses, purpose, interactions, side effects, and reactions to medications.

Requirements:

• BLS (AHA)
• CA RN Licensure
• ACLS
• PALS
• 2 years PACU RN Experience Required, preferably in a high acute care hospital, ICU required
• extensive cardiac/cath lab holding room experience required

Shift: 4 x 10 days 9A-1230p start times; no weekends. Float required to other CPMC campuses if needed and census permits.

Patient Age Groups: Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics

Daily Census: 40-50

Compliance:

• Onboarding: Must complete labs within 3-5 days of contract signing
• Work History Verification: 7-Year Work History Verification Required for all candidates
• Deadline: All compliance documents due 10 days prior to start
• Modules: Modules are non-billable. An average of 1-5 hours spent on modules and are factored into NBO. Any time spent on modules exceeding the 16 NBO hours are billable
