Worship Pastor

Worship Pastor Kenwood Baptist Church in Cincinnati, Ohio is searching for a Worship Pastor to lead their Worship Arts Team in creating Christ-centered, engaging worship environments for a vibrant, multi-ethnic, multi-generational congregation. This is a pastoral role, not simply a musical one, calling for someone who leads with both artistic credibility and genuine shepherd’s heart. The Worship Pastor will report directly to Senior Pastor David Palmer and collaborate closely with the broader pastoral team to design worship experiences that are rooted in Scripture, accessible to all generations, and wide enough in range to reflect the creative diversity already present in the congregation. A great match for this position would be: A pastor first, musician second: Someone whose love for Christ and His Word is evident not just on the platform but in how they develop relationships and care for their team throughout the week. Genuinely at home in a diverse room: Kenwood’s 24 spoken languages and multi-generational makeup aren’t a talking point; they’re the culture, and the right person will find that energizing, not intimidating. Musically credible and organizationally reliable: Capable of leading in a sophisticated musical environment (the Cincinnati Conservatory is 15 minutes away), while also running tight rehearsals, managing volunteers well, and keeping all the moving parts in order. Creative within boundaries : Excited to bring variety and freshness to worship while staying anchored in historical Christian worship and doctrine rather than chasing trends. A team-builder, not a solo act: Someone who finds genuine joy in developing other leaders, delegating well, and drawing out the gifts already present in the congregation rather than positioning themselves as the sole creative voice. Comfortable holding tension: Kenwood’s congregation has leaders and members from a variety of denominational backgrounds; the right candidate will hold firmly to the cross, and values unity in Christ over winning secondary debates. #J-18808-Ljbffr
