Senior Tax Accountant – Las Vegas, NV

Location: Las Vegas, NV | In-Office
Job Type: Full-Time, Year-Round
Salary: $100,000–$120,000/year DOE
Bonus: Up to $10,000 first-year bonus

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join a well-established Las Vegas CPA firm. This role is ideal for a tax professional with strong hands-on experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns , particularly 1120-S and 1065 returns .

You will work directly with firm leadership and have opportunities to grow beyond compliance into tax planning and advisory services , with a clear path toward Tax Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual, business, trust, estate, and exempt organization tax returns
• Handle 1120-S, 1065, 1040, and 990 returns
• Provide tax planning and advisory guidance to clients
• Review client documentation for completeness and accuracy
• Identify applicable deductions and tax-saving opportunities
• Communicate directly with clients and serve as a trusted advisor
• Stay current with federal and state tax laws
• Manage deadlines independently and maintain high-quality work

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on tax preparation and review experience
• Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation
• Experience with 1120-S and 1065 returns required
• Trust, estate, and exempt organization return experience preferred
• Active PTIN required
• Experience with professional tax software such as UltraTax, Drake, ProSeries, or similar
• CPA or EA preferred, but not required
• Strong client communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Must be able to work in-office in Las Vegas, NV
