Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive LDRP nursing care for laboring, postpartum, and high-risk patients, including induction, hypertensive crisis, and hemorrhage protocol management
• Care for both mother and newborn during the immediate postpartum period (couplet care) and serve as the newborn nurse during C-sections
• Titrate drips including Magnesium, Pitocin, and Insulin (when applicable for transfer patients)
• Stabilize high-risk and critical patients as needed until transfer; no twin or triplet deliveries managed on unit
• Manage laboring patients autonomously and independently, particularly during nights and weekends when OB is on call rather than in-house
• Participate in self-scheduling, equitable weekend and holiday distribution, and occasional floating duties (tasking/helping hands only, not cross-department shifts)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, S.T.A.B.L.E., and AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced
• Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience; strong recent Labor and Delivery experience required, with some LDRP or postpartum experience within the last few years
• Proficiency in newborn stabilization
• Comfort working autonomously with OB on-call, particularly during nights and weekends
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM), specifically Centricity
• Familiarity with AWHONN staffing guidelines and ratio standards
• Experience managing Magnesium and Pitocin drip titration in an LDRP setting
