About the Role


We are seeking a skilled Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 13-week contract opportunity in Monterey, California. This position focuses on providing rehabilitation services in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), assisting patients with therapeutic treatments, improving mobility, and supporting functional recovery under the direction of a Physical Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical therapy treatments based on the established plan of care.
• Assist patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate updates to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Complete accurate treatment documentation and maintain patient records.
• Follow facility policies and rehabilitation standards while supporting quality patient care.

Requirements

• Active California Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) License required.
• Minimum 1 year of Physical Therapy Assistant experience required.
• Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) experience preferred.
• Experience with NetHealth (Rehab Optima) preferred.
• Strong communication, documentation, and patient care skills.
