Job Title: Emergency Room Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 3x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: California state license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS Must-Have: - Emergency Room experience - Ability to float between like units Description: This position requires working in an acute care hospital environment. The daily census in this unit is around 120 patients. The Emergency Room handles various patient diagnoses, including abdominal pain, overdose, and suicidal ideation. Registered Nurses are expected to manage critical situations, including intubation and conscious sedation. Patient ratios are approximately 4:1 for both days and nights. Nurses will collaborate closely with interdisciplinary support teams, including respiratory services and pharmacy. Working weekends is required, with coverage needed every other weekend. Nurses should be proficient in charting using the Epic system. Travelers must comply with floating requirements within the facility. References and proof of licensure will be part of the compliance process.
