Mammography Technologist

Title : Mammography Technologist - 252529 Location : Austin TX Facility: Outpatient Facility Pay for Travel : $2300 - $2450/Week Gross Pay for Local: ~$40 - $50/hr Duration : 13 Week Contract (Opportunity to Extend) Shift : Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm CST No Weekends! No Evenings! Start Date: ASAP Preferred, Flexible Key Responsibilities Performs all mammographic procedures, according to the Department Procedure Manual. Applies appropriate patient care and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the radiologic procedure. Performs and maintains all quality assurance records/controls required by ACR, the State and any other credentialing organizations as required by law. Identifies proper anatomical orientation on all required images and assures proper identification on all images. Practices radiation safety by applying AARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principals. Diagnostic and Screen Mammograms (except for Southwood location: Screening only). Assist with General xrays as well. Patient Populations: All ages Equipment & Systems Medinformatic+ PACS Hologic Scans/Day: ~15 Scans per day Required Skills Graduate of recognized, approved AMA Council of Education program in radiologic technology. Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T.) in Mammography. State certification by the Texas Medical Board (T.M.B.) Not Required: 2 years of experience
