Collections Specialist

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their team in Bethesda, MD.Responsibilities:

• Collections Specialist will contact customers regarding outstanding balances and past-due accounts
• Process payments, account adjustments, and collection activity
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
• As a Collections Specialist, you will maintain accurate collection notes and account records
• Assist with aging reports and other Accounts Receivable tasks as needed

• 3+ years of collections, accounts receivable, or related accounting experience
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable making collection calls and sending follow-up correspondence
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Experience with Excel and accounting/ERP systems preferred

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
