Precision Automation Machine Assembler

Build, integrate, and bring to life custom automation lines, test systems, and specialized machinery. You’ll translate engineering intent into working equipment through meticulous assembly, smart troubleshooting, and hands‑on commissioning.

1. Kick off by reviewing blueprints, schematics, and build instructions to plan your approach.
2. Assemble mechanical structures, align subassemblies, and integrate pneumatics and basic electrical devices.
3. Measure, shim, and fine‑tune components to achieve precision, reliability, and repeatability.
4. Power up systems, execute functional tests, and debug mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues.
5. Collaborate with Engineers, Electricians, vendors, and customers to resolve challenges and keep projects on track.
6. Document progress, surface discrepancies in drawings, and suggest improvements to reduce rework.
7. Maintain a clean, organized work area that meets company and OSHA safety expectations.

• Assemble custom automation equipment, assembly lines, and test stands from engineering documentation.
• Integrate mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic components into complete machine systems.
• Install, align, and fit parts using hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
• Run functional tests on components, subassemblies, and finished machines; diagnose root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Support debug, run‑offs, and commissioning both in‑house and at customer sites.
• Communicate build status, risks, and improvement opportunities to supervisors and project teams.

Work side‑by‑side with Mechanical Engineers, Controls Engineers, and Electricians. Interface with customers and vendors during design reviews, builds, and installations to ensure smooth delivery.

• 5+ years as a Machine Builder, Automation Assembler, or similar role in manufacturing or automation.
• Hands‑on experience building custom machinery, assembly systems, or test equipment (strongly preferred).
• Technical training, apprenticeship, or trade certification is a plus.
• Fluent reading of blueprints, schematics, and assembly drawings.
• Mechanical assembly and alignment expertise; familiarity with pneumatic systems (cylinders, valves, tubing) and basic electrical components (sensors, actuators, wiring awareness).
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis, and problem‑solving skills; clear communication in team settings or independently.
• Own set of hand tools.

• Valid driver’s license; ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% per year.
• Frequently moves, lifts, transports, positions, and installs equipment and materials over 20 lbs.

• Deliver work that meets company quality standards and customer requirements.
• Champion continuous improvement to increase efficiency and reduce rework.
• Maintain a safe, orderly workspace in alignment with company and OSHA standards.
