Job Title: Assembler

Location: Pomona, CA 91767
Employment Type: W2 Contract – 6 Months with Possibility for Extensions
Pay Rate: $19.00–$20.00/hour – Determined based on experience (Paid Weekly)
Work Model: Fully Onsite
Schedule: Day Shift – 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with overtime as needed until 4:30 PM and Saturdays as required
Potential Alternate Shift: A limited number of positions may temporarily work 9:30 AM–6:00 PM based on production needs.

Note: This is a W2 only role — C2C and C2H will not be considered.

Role Overview

BEPC is actively seeking an Assembler to support our client’s manufacturing operations in Pomona, CA. This hands-on production position supports the assembly, inspection, labeling, packaging, and preparation of medical device products. The role involves working with semi-automated manufacturing equipment and rotating between multiple production stations throughout the shift.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, comfortable performing repetitive manufacturing tasks, and able to remain standing throughout the workday. Previous manufacturing, assembly, packaging, or Good Documentation Practices (GDP) experience is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble medical device products according to established manufacturing procedures.
• Operate semi-automated equipment used in the manufacturing and packaging process.
• Assemble, check, and inspect products against departmental procedures and quality requirements.
• Support production of oral fluid extraction tube products, including assembly and machine-assisted packaging.
• Perform buffer-filling activities using established production methods.
• Operate and monitor labeling equipment to ensure proper product labeling.
• Perform manual counting and packaging of kits in various quantities.
• Support packaging and palletizing operations.
• Rotate between production stations approximately every two hours, which may include filling, labeling, packaging, and palletizing.
• Recognize product, process, or equipment problems during manufacturing and promptly escalate concerns to the Line Lead or Supervisor.
• Follow established manufacturing, safety, quality, and documentation procedures.
• Maintain accurate production documentation.
• Clean manufacturing equipment and work areas as required.
• Move completed products between designated production areas.
• Support manufacturing goals related to quality, productivity, and timely completion of production activities.
• Work overtime and Saturdays when required by production needs.

Qualifications Required:

• Ability to work onsite in Pomona, CA.
• Ability to work the full assigned daytime schedule and overtime as required.
• Ability to stand for the entire production shift.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements, including pushing and pulling products.
• Ability to bend, stoop, and move products between manufacturing areas as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and product quality.
• Ability to follow written manufacturing procedures and work instructions.
• Ability to recognize and escalate product or equipment issues.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a production team.
• Comfortable working around manufacturing and packaging equipment.
• Closed-toe, comfortable footwear appropriate for prolonged standing is required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing, production, assembly, or packaging experience.
• Good Documentation Practices (GDP) experience.
• Medical device or other regulated manufacturing experience.
• Experience operating or working around semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
• Labeling and packaging experience.
• Experience performing repetitive production work while maintaining accuracy and quality.
• Experience working in a team-based manufacturing environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to stand for prolonged periods throughout the entire shift.
• Must be able to perform repetitive movements associated with product assembly and packaging.
• Occasional bending and stooping are required.
• Must be able to push or pull products as needed within the assembly area.
• Must be able to move completed products between work areas.
• No routine heavy lifting is required.
• Must be able to safely clean manufacturing equipment used within the assigned area.
