Adjunct Professor of Studio ArtCharleston Southern UniversitySummaryCharleston Southern University’s Art Program is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor position to start in the Fall Semester of 2026. We're seeking candidates who are professing Christians, dedicated to high-quality teaching, and committed to integrating faith with learning. Preferred applicants will possess both the knowledge, skills, and passion to teach studio art courses in Drawing and/or Painting.Work PerformedThe Adjunct Instructor will teach undergraduate, in-person classes in Painting or Drawing. All studio courses meet for 2 hours, 50 minutes twice per week. Part-time adjuncts are contracted term-by-term based on course need and availability.QualificationsMaster of Fine Arts degree in Painting, Drawing, or closely related field is preferred; however, a record of a successful professional art career will be considered.Teaching experience in higher education is preferred.Candidates should demonstrate commitment to student engagement and academic and artistic excellence.Essential Job FunctionsCertain jobs at Charleston Southern University may require specific physical and/or mental abilities and the hiring manager will provide additional information and provision of requests for reasonable accommodation if needed.
