Job Description Summary The Project Manager II assists with managing project activities for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service's Office of Data and Accountability (ODA), including planning, developing, implementing, tracking timelines and deliverables, and providing periodic evaluations and status reports for projects that are generally medium to large in scope. Working under the supervision of the Educational Content Team Leader, this position collaborates with internal stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital content, web applications, and reporting systems that enhance AgriLife Extension's educational and accountability initiatives. Working under the supervision of the Educational Content Team Leader, this position collaborates with internal stakeholders to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of digital content, web applications, and reporting systems that enhance AgriLife Extension's educational and accountability initiatives. Responsibilities Works under the direct supervision of the Educational Content Team Leader to support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of assigned projects. Assists in ensuring assigned projects align with the strategic goals and objectives of the Office of Data and Accountability and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. Coordinates project activities, timelines, deliverables, and communications to ensure projects remain on schedule. Collaborates with AgriLife Extension faculty, specialists, county educators, and professional service units to gather project requirements and coordinate implementation activities. Assists in managing multiple project assignments while monitoring milestones, priorities, and project progress. Works closely with programmers, analysts, designers, and other project staff to develop and implement web-based applications, educational resources, and reporting systems. Assists with quality assurance testing and validation of websites, online applications, and digital resources prior to deployment. Participates in the design, development, enhancement, and maintenance of AgriLife Extension websites and web-based systems. Assists with front-end web development, including HTML, CSS, and user interface enhancements for data collection and educational resource websites that improve usability and accessibility. Coordinates with AgriLife Marketing and Communications, Educational Development and Engagement, Information Technology, and other agency units to support digital initiatives and educational content delivery. Assists in maintaining and improving existing web-based data collection systems, online applications, and related technologies supporting agency programs. Develops documentation, user guides, and training materials for new web applications and reporting systems. Provides training and technical assistance to AgriLife Extension faculty and staff on websites, online applications, reporting tools, and digital resources. Assists users with website analytics, reporting tools, and interpretation of web traffic data to support program decision‑making. Serves as a secondary point of contact for project‑related questions and technical support, escalating issues to the Educational Content Team Leader as appropriate. Performs other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Web Development, Project Management, Communications, or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Five years of related experience in project management, web development, digital communications, or information technology in an agricultural or extension related field. Preferred Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and best practices. Knowledge of web development technologies, including HTML, CSS, and responsive web design. Knowledge of content management systems and modern website development practices. Knowledge of Google Analytics, including the ability to analyze website traffic, user behavior, engagement metrics, and conversion data to support strategic decision-making. Knowledge of AgriLife Extension websites, digital platforms, and the methods used to monitor, evaluate, and report website traffic and user engagement. Knowledge of website accessibility standards and usability best practices. Skill in troubleshooting web applications and coordinating technical solutions with programmers and IT staff. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting established deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, leadership, and external stakeholders. Ability to analyze project requirements and recommend practical solutions. Ability to prepare project documentation, status reports, and user training materials. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment. All positions are security-sensitive.
