Job Description TactStaff EDU is hiring a School-Based Occupational Therapist (OT) for the second semester of the 2026-2027 school year in Minooka, Illinois! This is a great opportunity for an OT who enjoys working with a diverse K-12 student population and has experience supporting students with autism and other special education needs.

Position Details
- Position: Occupational Therapist (OT)
- Location: Minooka, IL
- Start Date: January 2027 / Second Semester
- Setting: School-based, onsite
- Grade Levels: K-12
- Caseload: K-12 students, with a significant number of students on the autism spectrum
- Pay: $60-$65/hour
- Employment: W-2 contract through TactStaff EDU
- School Year: 2026-2027
- Provide occupational therapy evaluations, assessments, and direct/indirect services to students
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on student needs and IEP goals
- Support students with autism, sensory processing needs, fine motor delays, developmental disabilities, and other educational needs
- Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, speech-language pathologists, school psychologists, paraprofessionals, and families
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute OT recommendations, goals, progress updates, and documentation
- Provide classroom-based strategies, accommodations, and modifications to improve student participation and access to the curriculum
- Support students with activities of daily living, fine motor skills, sensory regulation, visual-motor skills, handwriting, and functional school participation
- Maintain accurate documentation and meet school and district compliance requirements
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current Illinois Occupational Therapist license
- Eligible for or current Illinois school-based OT credential/PEL as required
- Previous school-based experience preferred
- Experience working with students with autism and other developmental or behavioral needs strongly preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary special education team
- $60-$65/hour
