Key Responsibilities of the RN - ICU

• Provide care for patients with brain tumors, spinal malformations, neuroendovascular conditions, and epilepsy surgery.
• Perform Q1 neuro checks, manage EVDs, lumbar drains, and subdural drains.
• Administer 3% NS, Cardene drips, and manage arterial lines.
• Assist with carotid endarterectomy, aneurysm coiling/clips, DBS insertion, VP shunts, and seizure management.

Requirements of the RN - ICU

• MUST HAVE STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE/PCU EXPERIENCE
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• High acuity stroke and neurosurgery experience required
• Telemetry Experience Required
• RN License (NY License ONLY)
• Two (2) Years Experience
• NIHSS REQUIRED
