Warehouse Lead

We are recruiting for a premier, high-end natural stone and tile distributor looking for a reliable, steady Warehouse Lead to join their Palo Alto team. This is a highly active, hands-on role where you will spend about 90% of your day on the floor driving forklifts, organizing premium inventory, and leading a small, dedicated team of 2–3 associates.

If you are a "lead-by-example" professional who prefers getting the job done over sitting at a desk, this is the perfect fit. Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of warehouse experience, with at least some experience acting as a lead, point-person, or shift supervisor.

• Equipment: Certified or highly proficient in operating forklifts (experience with heavy, oversized, or fragile loads is a major plus).

• Tech Skills: Basic computer literacy is required. Experience with SAP is a huge plus, but we are willing to train the right person.

• Work Style: A calm, steady leadership approach—someone who focuses on safety, productivity, and guiding others by example.

Responsibilities

• Floor Leadership: Guide and motivate a small team of 2–3 warehouse associates; ensure daily tasks are completed efficiently without needing to be micromanaged.

• Material Handling & Forklift: Safely operate heavy-duty forklifts to move, load, and unload high-value, fragile natural stone slabs and tile inventory.

• Inventory Integrity & Safety: Maintain clean, safe, and highly structured storage areas; ensure materials are transitioned securely from staging areas into the main warehouse without damage.

• Light Admin (Under 1 Hour/Day): Spend roughly 45 minutes a day performing basic data entry, updating inventory counts, and closing out daily logs.

The essential functions of this role include:
