Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Surgery - $31 per hour

Registered Nurse (RN) – Same Day Surgery Tenet Memphis is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Day Surgery for a nursing position in Memphis, Tennessee. Job Details Specialty: Day Surgery Discipline: RN Duration: Ongoing 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours Employment Type: Staff Up to $10,000 Sign‑on Bonus Based on Eligibility Responsibilities Provide direct clinical patient care. Assess, plan, and implement direct clinical care for assigned patients on a per‑shift basis and at the unit level. Supervise staff to whom appropriate care is delegated. Ensure high quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care while supporting the CNO to maintain clinical staff competency and appropriate resource management. Coordinate patient care using a multidisciplinary approach. Develop and modify care plans for newly admitted patients as conditions or needs change. Deliver designated nursing interventions consistent with the medical plan of care. Perform procedures in the specialty service area. Document nursing care accurately and completely in all assigned patient records. Perform related duties as required. Qualifications Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure: RN with current state licensure/permit. Required Certifications BLS – Certification required upon hire. ACLS – Required within 3 months of hire for the following departments: - Emergency Dept & Medical Response Team - RNs ICU, Stepdown RNs, Med/Surg/Tele RNs - All Float Pool RNs, Same Day Surgery RNs, Operating Room RNs & PACU RNs - GI Lab RNs & Interventional Radiology RNs - Special Procedures RNs L&D RNs - Cardiac Care RNs, Cardiac Rehab RNs, Cardiac Cath Lab RNs CPI – Required within 3 months of hire for the following departments: - Emergency Dept. RNs - All Bartlett Float Pool RNs, Memphis Float Pool RNs that will float to Behavioral Health and/or Emergency Dept. - All Behavioral Health RNs PALS – Required within 3 months of hire for the following: - Emergency Dept. - Float Pool RNs who float to the Emergency Dept. NRP – For Bartlett hires only; required within 3 months of hire for L&D RNs, Mother/Baby RNs, and NICU RNs. Preferred Qualifications Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
