Job Title: Visiting Nurse RN Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Home Health Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 8 hours Experience: Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of home health experience License: Current New Jersey or compact nursing license Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Home Care Home Base experience Experience with the following skills: - Adult Home Health - Blood Glucose management - Cast/brace/immobilizer device care - Chest tubes care - Clinical assessment documentation - Colostomy/ileostomy management - Coordinate services - Drain management - Infection control precautions - Medication management - Nebulizer utilization and teaching - Vital signs assessment - Oxygen safety and administration - Pain assessment and management - Post Total Joint Replacement care - Pressure ulcer prevention and management - Tracheostomy care - Wound care and management Description: The nurse will provide care to home health patients. The nurse will complete 4-5 visits within their 8-hour shift. The position requires availability for one out of every six weekends. The nurse will manage time effectively to avoid overtime. Travel between patient locations is required as part of the job. Mileage incurred for travel between visit locations will be reimbursed according to established standards. Nurses are expected to perform revisits only, not admissions, recertifications, resumptions of care, or discharges. The nurse must demonstrate strong clinical assessment and wound management skills. Proficiency in home health-related charting systems is required. The position involves working with a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. Effective coordination of services and interdisciplinary support will be part of the role. Candidates should be prepared for remote documentation and case management responsibilities. Candidates must pass a Basic Arrhythmia Exam with a minimum score of 80%. No retakes of the exam will be permitted.
