Advertised Job Summary University of South Carolina Upstate RTF Spartanburg, SC Under general supervision, the position is responsible for delivering and coordinating a comprehensive workforce‑readiness and educational training program for Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA)‑eligible youth. The primary goal of the role is to equip participants with foundational academic skills, employability competencies, and work‑based learning experiences that lead to successful job placement, continued education, and long‑term self‑sufficiency. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 5 or more years of related experience. Strongly prefer job development and teaching experience and knowledge of area businesses. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities Knowledge of workforce development practices, instructional methods, and program compliance requirements (e.g., WIOA), including serving at‑risk or underserved populations. Skill in delivering training, coordinating program activities, managing participant cases, and tracking outcomes using data systems. Skill in building and maintaining relationships with employers, community partners, and program participants. Ability to exercise independent judgment, manage competing priorities, and meet program performance goals. Ability to communicate effectively, engage diverse populations, and represent the program in community‑based settings.
