Next 150 Construction is seeking a Senior Recruiter to lead the recruitment of highly skilled self-perform professionals, including field leadership, superintendents, project engineers, project managers, estimators, and craft-related operations talent. Through a consultative partnership with business leaders, this role will develop and execute divisional and national recruiting strategies that support the current and future workforce needs of our self-perform operations. The Senior Recruiter plays a critical role in building strong talent pipelines, elevating the candidate experience, and ensuring Next 150 attracts and hires the best possible talent. This position may also lead strategic recruiting initiatives and serve as a peer coach to Recruiter I and Recruiter II team members.

Responsibilities

• Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process
• Provides high-level consultation and support for recruitment and staffing management
• Builds targeted pipelines for "experienced hires" that draw high-quality, diverse applicant pools to meet upcoming needs and maintains regular contact with possible future candidates
• Promotes diverse candidates; provides coaching and training to hiring managers and interview panels to identify and mitigate bias
• Knows the current events of local/national/international competitors, bringing market intel to Hiring Managers and the recruiting organization and makes recommendations on how best to adjust our recruiting approach across the enterprise
• Leads the creation of a recruiting and interviewing plan for each open position and conducts regular follow-ups with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans and implementation
• Maintains all pertinent applicant and interview data in the applicant tracking system and posts openings in other appropriate venues
• Manages the use of external recruiters including contract management and negotiation
• Acts as an ambassador for Gilbane's employer brand both internally and externally not only through the usage of social media but by attending local and presenting professional/industry meetings in order to develop and maintain contacts; This may include participating in the development of marketing collateral for recruiting purposes
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies
• Coaches and mentors less experienced team members
• Supports a positive and inclusive work environment

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business or related field preferred
• 5-7+ years' experience in the A/E/C fields and international experience are strongly preferred
• Bi-lingual (English and Spanish) is highly preferred
• Travel up to 25% may be required
• Or equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Understanding of recruiting principles and best practices
• Customer service oriented, with exceptional communication skills
• Understanding of their assigned region or sector's construction marketplace, including sub-regional markets, is highly preferred
• Strong listening and facilitation skills, with the ability to gain group consensus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, flexible and thrives in a fast-paced environment
• Highly organized, with ability to lead and manage multiple simultaneous requisitions and internal team initiatives
• Ability to work in a team environment, build strong relationships, influence without direct authority, and build credibility and confidence at all levels
• Ability to coach and mentor
• Proficient in Applicant Tracking Systems such as ICIMS, LinkedIn and other sourcing tools, and data analytics tools
• Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment including but not limited to OFCCP, EEO/AAP/VETS requirements

This position can be performed remotely or from any U.S. location where Gilbane has an office. Salary to be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience of the applicant, as well as the internal equity and alignment with the team. The pay ranges from $95,000 - 140,000 plus benefits and retirement program.
