## Description**GENERAL SUMMARY:**Provides door-to-door transportation services, for Department of Transportation Access Clients, in an orderly, courteous and safe manner as instructed by the Director of Transportation.**PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**1. Operates NAC vehicles in a safe manner.2. Provides door-to-door service as necessary.3. Responsible to maintain cleanliness of vehicle inside and out.4. Reports needed maintenance items on a timely basis, and properly fill out incident or accident report forms when necessary.5. Follow instructions by Dispatcher/Scheduler.6. Attend Drivers’ meetings and classes as required.7. Performs other driver-related duties as instructed.8. Is courteous and professional to passengers.9. Keeps dispatcher informed of location and status whenever necessary.10. Dresses in a professional manner.11. Performs any related tasks required by the Dispatch Supervisor.12. May have access to electronic, manual or written protected health or other information by scope and responsibility. Will be required to adhere to the privacy practices as detailed in the Notice of Privacy Practices, privacy policies and procedures.**OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:**1. Applicant must be at least 25 years of age.2. Valid current driver’s license and a minimum of 5 years personal driving experience.3. Criminal record history and child abuse clearance required.4. Pre-employment drug screening.5. Geographic knowledge of the City of Pittsburgh and northern Allegheny County.6. Motor Vehicle report history.**PHYSICAL JOB DEMANDS:**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Ability to climb and descend stairs, walk, stand, reach objects overhead.3. Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time.4. Specific vision abilities include close, peripheral, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.5. Ability to enter and exit large vehicles (van) multiple times an hour throughout the day.6. Ability to escort and assist consumers as needed.7. Ability to physically push, pull, move and secure an occupied wheel chair or other mobility device as needed.8. Ability to operate the wheel chair lift.**WORKING CONDITIONS:**1. Normal working hours range between 6:00 a.m. and 12:00 midnight, seven days a week.2.
