Cook / Dietary Aide

The W Assisted Living Management Company is looking for a talented, energetic candidate with a "YES WE CAN" attitude to join our kitchen team. This role primarily covers Cook duties, with Dietary Aide responsibilities on select days, so we're looking for someone comfortable moving between both the back of house and resident dining areas.

Days • Evenings • Weekends • OT Options - Immediately Available

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Cook Duties

• Prepare food

• Plan food production to coordinate with meal serving hours

• Follow standard recipes and special diet orders

• Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

• Maintain the cleanliness of the kitchen and workstation

• Meet federal and state health department standards and codes for proper food storage, handling, and preparation

Dietary Aide Duties (as scheduled)

• Set up tables and other dining areas with attention to cleanliness and order

• Deliver dishes and trays to residents

• Maintain the cleanliness of dining areas

• Provide assistance to residents as needed, interacting with dignity and compassion

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma/GED required

• Culinary and/or food service experience required

• One year of experience in institutional food service a plus

• Prior experience working with a vulnerable population a plus

• Strong customer service skills

• Ability to follow federal and state regulations regarding food safety
