Diesel Mobile Mechanic/Fleet Technician- $100k+ full service & tooled trucks included

Description Hill International Trucks, the Tri‑State area's leading medium‑and‑heavy‑duy truck and trailer dealership, is currently looking for Diesel Technicians to support our mobile maintenance department customers in New Philadelphia and Canton, OH. This position works out of either the New Ph­illy or Canton, OH locations. The schedule includes shifts from 3 a.m. –11 a.m. and 11 a.m. –7 p.m., on‑call every 3‑4th weekend, and generalized road‑calls for other customers. Our Fleet Techs have state‑of‑the‑art service trucks fully equipped for our customers' needs. The primary responsibility is to repair and maintain diesel engine trucks according to dealership and factory specifications. Additional Responsibilities Perform work according to repair order with efficiency and accuracy, following dealership and factory standards. Diagnose malfunctions and perform repairs. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Save and tag parts for warranty or customer requests. Examine assigned vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required. Communicate immediately with service advisor/dispatcher if additional work is needed, if work is not required, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Document all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Participate in manufacturer‑sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Report machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensure vehicle cleanliness and notify service advisor/dispatcher immediately of any appearance or condition changes. Keep shop area neat and clean. Maintain and be accountable for all dealership‑owned tools and manuals; return them in the same condition. Stay current with federal, state, and local regulations such as hazardous waste disposal and OSHA Right‑to‑Know. Operate all tools and equipment safely and report any safety issues immediately to management. Benefits Excellent pay (BOE) plus monthly performance bonuses. Requirements 2‑3 or more years of diesel technician experience (required). Computer skills preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Ase certifications preferred but not required. Valid CDL Class B license preferred but not required. Physical Demands Standing for long periods. Bending, stooping, and kneeling for long periods. Frequent repetitive hand motion. Work in all weather conditions. Frequent lifting of 5–50 lbs and occasional lifting of 50–100 lbs. Perform accurate, knowledgeable, detailed work.
