Leasing Agent (TEMPORARY) VAR

Summary Seeking a TEMPORARY Leasing Agent who is responsible for assisting the property manager in maintaining all aspects of property operations, but with a concentration on the leasing, marketing, resident relations, and functions of the community. The Leasing Agent strives for 100% occupancy through retention of existing residents, leasing current availability and pre-leasing of future availability. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Interviews prospective tenants and records information to ascertain needs and qualifications. Completes lease form or agreement and collects rental deposit. Handles electronic and manual bookkeeping functions, or credits renter account for receipts and debits account for disbursements such as upkeep and maintenance costs for assigned property. Requests issuance of check for monies due residents. Prepares vacancy, occupancy, traffic, reports and turnover schedules, etc. for internal use and external agency compliance. Coordinates moving, inspections, dealing with tenant issues and related items. Inspects condition of premises periodically and arranges for necessary maintenance. Assists with eviction of tenants in compliance with court order and directions from supervisor. Responds to emergency calls and situations as required. Communicates and interacts with residents individually or in groups as required. Compiles listings of available rental property. Qualifications Experience in working with LIHTC/Tax Credit/HUD/Section 8 regulations/forms Yardi or comparable property management software knowledge preferred Salary/Benefits 22.00 Hourly Benefits include health, dental and vision insurance, vacation benefits.
