Associate Veterinarian

Ensure consistent, high-quality veterinary care and exceptional client service Maintain a positive hospital environment and support business performance Adhere to WellHaven protocols and oversee employees to prioritize practice goals Collaborate with the Principal Doctor to establish development plans aligned with hospital objectives Practice veterinary medicine in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and the WellHaven Code of Ethics Maintain thorough and accurate medical charts for all patients Communicate comprehensively with clients in person, by phone, and by email Participate in community events, external marketing initiatives, and hospital projects Provide medical training to support staff Train, lead, and manage support staff as required Deliver professional, efficient, and exceptional customer service Adapt to individual client needs and resolve customer complaints as appropriate Lead and guide the team to meet DEA and OSHA safety standards Perform other job duties as assigned Requirements Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required State Veterinary Board License On the first day of employment, must be in good standing with the state(s) employed to work for WellHaven Current USDA Accreditation is a plus Demonstrate proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, dentistry, and current medical practices Maintain appropriate medical record documentation Meet hospital quality control standards for medical charting Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to learn new computer software systems (EMR, Scheduling, etc.) Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced work environment Ability to work 10+ hour shifts, Saturdays, evenings, and holidays Good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity, reaching and grasping ability, and visual acuity Able to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb Ability to lift 50+ pounds Ability to work onsite; remote work is not available Must comply with State Veterinary Practice Act, Federal and/or State Controlled Substance laws, WellHaven Code of Ethics, DEA standards, and OSHA standards Core Competencies Demonstrates expertise in veterinary medicine, including proficiency in anesthesia, surgery, and dentistry, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
