As a premier pork producer, Schwartz Farms embraces itself for a challenging and rewarding future.Fuel the FeedAs a Feed Mill Technician in Leigh, NE, you'll help power swine nutrition by keeping feed manufacturing accurate, safe, and on schedule-so animals get what they need, when they need it.Key responsibilities include:- Mix feed rations to established schedules and standards- Support timely, bio-secure manufacturing and delivery processes- Enforce biosecurity protocols and document mill records as directed- Receive and properly store ingredients/supplies to protect quality- Maintain site cleanliness, assist with minor repairs, and follow all safety requirements- Where applicable, support grain receiving, drying, storage, and ticketing/communicationRequired qualifications/skills: - Experience or demonstrated ability in feed manufacturing (and/or grain handling)- Understanding of mechanical systems; ability to perform minor maintenance- Adaptable multitasker with professionalism and strong interpersonal skills- Comfortable using electronic reports; acceptable driving recordReady to build something vital every day? You'll stay in rhythm with the mill's pace-tracking progress, keeping documentation tidy, and staying sharp on safety and biosecurity. Along the way, you'll coordinate around incoming ingredients, keep an eye on quality signals, and pivot smoothly when priorities shift. If grain operations are active, you may spend part of the afternoon around receiving and storage activity, communicating what you're seeing to the right people. By 5 PM, you've helped keep the operation moving cleanly, securely, and efficiently-another day of real, measurable impact behind you.
