As a Security Officer Access Control in Champaign, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and support access control operations that help to deter security-related incidents. You may conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Guided by a caring culture, teamwork, integrity, and an agile, reliable, innovative approach, you will play an important role in daily site operations.

Pay Rate: $18.75 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and/or credentials, document visitor activity, and help to deter unauthorized access to the facility, yard, and/or loading areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures and reporting details accurately.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, perimeter, trailer areas, and shipping and receiving zones, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Support logistics operations by helping manage vehicle and pedestrian traffic at gates, coordinating with site contacts on access-related issues, and maintaining required logs and reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
