Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit - Travel Registered Nurse - $1820 per week.

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM

Experience:

• 24 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 18 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with 12 months within the last 36 months (3 years).

• Experience with Paragon is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Texas license or compact license (required after submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

Required Skills/Experience: - 18+ months of recent Med/Tele experience.

Unit Details: - Rural hospital with Med/Tele units highly reliant on travelers and limited staff continuity. - Common diagnoses/types of patients include CHF, diabetes, pneumonia, CKD, and Med/Surg telemetry. - Heparin is the only titratable drip. - Tele monitor techs monitor patients, but RNs must be able to read strips. - Cares for CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow patients. - Transitioning to Epic Oct 30th 2026.

Shift & Scheduling: - Flexible contract hours: 36hrs/wk or 36/48 hrs/bi wkly. - Every other weekend required. - Holidays as required. - No call.

Floating Requirements: - Will float to all Med/Surg units, possibly to PCU to care for tele holds prior to transfer.

All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.
