Corporate Tax Manager/Senior Manager

Overview Plante Moran is seeking an experienced public accountant to manage and lead tax engagements for partnership, corporate, and individual clients across federal, state, and local jurisdictions. Responsibilities Review returns for partnership, corporate, and individual tax clients, including returns, estimated payments, and extensions. Assist with federal and state tax audits. Prepare tax provisions and determine appropriate objectives and methodology. Identify tax solutions and opportunities for clients (credits, tax law changes). Leverage technology (CCH Axcess) to maximize technical application. Serve as primary engagement manager with economic responsibilities for billing, realization, and collections. Build relationships and develop staff through networking, client meetings, and industry events. Contribute to business expansion, including proposal development and sales calls. Supervise and develop a team of 1‑2 associates on each engagement. Lead engagements from planning through completion of tax compliance, planning, and provision projects. Participate in annual CORE training program and non‑billable initiatives such as recruiting, training facilitation, and thought leadership. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in public accounting. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting. CPA or bar license required. Experience with tax provision review and preparation. Exempt position; willing to work overtime beyond standard 40‑hour weeks. Available for overnight travel for firm‑wide trainings and events. Compensation & Benefits Compensation Range: $100,000‑$185,000 (dependent on region: CO, IL, OH, MA).
