Payroll Accountant

Mid sized government contracting company is seeking a Payroll Specialist to join their team! This will report to the Payroll Manager and have opportunity for advancement as the company grows. Excellent compensation and benefits package! Duties: Assist with processing payroll on a regular schedule (semi-monthly & monthly). Support payroll audits and compliance with company policies and regulations. Process employee lifecycle changes, including new hires, terminations, and promotions. Review and process employee expense reports in a timely manner. Maintain organized payroll files and documentation. Assist with benefits and deductions tracking as needed. Collaborate with HR and accounting teams on payroll -related matters. Monthly review, reconciliation and authorization of payroll invoices including health benefits, 401k invoices and various other fringe benefit invoices. Ensure onboarding, payroll, and administration business systems are updated Processes regular files feeds and maintenance of 401k and HSA vendors. Requirements: 2+ years' direct hands-on experience processing payroll using an enterprise-wide payroll system. Experience with UKG system is preferred High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
