Business Unit Leader

Business Unit Leader (BUL) – Onsite Location: Asheville, North Carolina (Pratt & Whitney Blvd, 330) Role Type: Onsite Security Clearance: None/Not Required What You Will Do Drive exceptional performance across environmental, health & safety (EH&S), quality, delivery, and cost metrics. Manage and coach work area supervisors overseeing approximately 100 hourly employees. Build responsive and flexible teams, empowering employees from supervisors to operators. Address workforce issues and engage employees in achieving business unit goals. Establish work schedules considering customer requirements, resource availability, and priorities. Assist in strategic planning: forecasts, financial planning, training, and capital expenditures. Hold employees accountable while maintaining productive relationships. Lead EH&S initiatives, continuous process improvement, hourly staff planning, and critical resource allocation. Develop monthly delivery plans aligning with customer needs and financial obligations. Oversee supplier value stream. Qualifications – Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or a technical field. 12 years of manufacturing operations experience, or an advanced degree with a minimum of 10 years of related experience. Deep management and leadership knowledge, including leading cross-department project teams or multi-department management.
