Shop Manager

Location: Gilbert, AZ Job Type: Full-Time (Includes Saturday Shift) Environment: Air‑Conditioned Production Shop Pay: Based on Experience and Skill Level About DecalMonkey.biz DecalMonkey.biz is a fast‑paced custom print and apparel shop specializing in vinyl decals, screen printing, embroidery, and digital print services. We’re looking for a hands‑on Shop Manager who understands every aspect of our workflow and can lead the team with confidence, accountability, and professionalism. Position Overview This is a working manager role — not an HR desk job. The Shop Manager is expected to jump in wherever needed, assist with production, answer questions, enforce standards, and keep the shop running smoothly. You’ll reward strong performance, document issues, and ensure every shift operates with consistency and clarity. The ideal candidate is available to work four full 9‑hour shifts during the week, each including a 1‑hour unpaid lunch break, plus a 5‑hour shift on Saturdays. A lunch break may be taken on Saturdays if time allows, but it is not required. The position includes Sunday off and one additional weekday off. Key Responsibilities Lead daily shop operations across all departments (vinyl, print, screen printing, embroidery, customer service) Step into any role as needed — hands‑on production, customer service, or technical support Ensure employees are on time, productive, and following shop procedures Answer questions, resolve issues, and maintain a smooth workflow Reward strong performance and document disciplinary actions when necessary Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shop environment Communicate clearly with staff and ownership about shift status, issues, and improvements Monitor supply levels and assist with inventory coordination Requirements Strong working knowledge of vinyl, print, screen printing, and embroidery workflows Hands‑on experience in a production shop environment Proven leadership and team management skills Ability to enforce standards and hold employees accountable Comfortable standing and moving throughout the shift Able to lift up to 50 lbs when assisting with materials or production Reliable, punctual, and professional Preferred Experience Previous shop management or team lead experience Familiarity with scheduling, shift coordination, and production timelines Experience documenting employee performance and coaching team members Strong communication and problem‑solving skills Why Join DecalMonkey.biz?
