School Bus AidePrimary Duties and Responsibilities:Assist in loading and unloading of students from school bus, including the evacuation of busResponsible to attend classes in CPR/First Aid and other training sessions as directedAppropriately secure harnesses/seat belts and wheelchairs with safety equipmentAssist with student medical needs; including seizuresSupervise and provide care for students on busCollect and maintain data related to students' goals, objectives, medical or emotional needsRepresent school district in a professional manner during interactions with students, school community and staffAdditional duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:Ability to push/pull approximately 100 lbs.; ability to lift/move 50 lbs.Able to complete and pass annual essential job function testingPossesses strong interpersonal skills in working with students, school community and staffMaintains a high level of confidentialityMaintains a high level of personal and professional flexibilityCrisis Prevention training preferredHigh School Diploma or GED requiredPhysical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Requires regular attendance and/or physical presence at the job.Hours: Approximately: 6:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. – 4:45 p.m.; generally runs the school year, summer work may also be available.Rate of Pay: Per Master Agreement with Manchester Educational Support Staff AssociationStarting Date: ASAP
