Responsibilities include: Under supervision of higher-level mechanic, have the ability to learn proper troubleshooting and repairing of equipment associated in production in a timely manner as well as the maintenance of all building support equipment, including but not limited to air, water, steam, hydraulic, refrigeration, and electric systems.Job ResponsibilitiesProperly troubleshoot and repair all equipment associated with in the production facility, in a timely manner with supervisionPerform preventative maintenance on all production, and warehouse equipment;Properly perform mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, welding, and plumbing duties as required;Rebuild/replace equipment as needed, including but not limited to pumps, gear boxes, bearings, bushings, chains, bundler headers, conveyors, etc.Complete assigned work orders by their required due dates;Complete assigned housekeeping duties as required;Communicate to Maintenance Supervisor or Maintenance Manager of any condition that prevents the manufacture of product to established standards;Work in a safe manner, in compliance with Company, State and Federal GMP's, SOP's and company Policy and Procedures;Ability to work overtime, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies, as needed;Possess own basic hand tools necessary to perform the requirements of the position;Work effectively as part of a team and display a positive attitude;Other duties assignedEducation and ExperienceMust take in house mechanical aptitude test.Basic math and reading skills;Ability to work independently or in a group/team atmosphere;Good organizational and time management skills.Other Information/Physical Requirements (if needed)Communication:Required to talk and hearVisual: Ability to read small print (manuals)Dexterity:Ability to use hand and fingers to perform tasksAbility to perform tasks while lying on back /sideAbility to perform tasks on knees and in awkward positionsAbility to perform tasks in limited access areas as well as cramped, awkward and confined spaces.Standing: Long periods of time.
