Systems Administrator

Koniag Management Solutions, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Systems Administrator with a Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a SCI to support KMS and our government customer in Washington, DC. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. The Systems Administrator will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and security of both physical and virtual server environments. Core responsibilities include:

  • Manage and maintain enterprise servers and systems infrastructure
  • Administer Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and associated systems
  • Implement security controls and DISA STIGs
  • Configure and maintain network monitoring systems
  • Perform system patching, updates, and maintenance
  • Manage user accounts and access controls
  • Implement backup and recovery procedures
  • Support virtual desktop infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot complex system issues
  • Monitor system performance and security
  • Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures
  • Provide technical consultation and training
  • Manage asset inventory and licensing
  • Generate required systems reports and metrics

Education and Experience: Required:

  • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of system administration experience OR
  • Minimum 8 years of system administration experience
  • Active Top-Secret clearance with ability to obtain SCI

Required Skills and Competencies:

  • CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+ certification
  • ITIL 4 Foundation certification
  • Strong experience with Microsoft server technologies
  • Expertise in system security implementation
  • Knowledge of virtualization technologies
  • Experience with enterprise storage systems
  • Proficiency in backup and recovery procedures
  • Understanding of network protocols and architecture
  • Experience with classified systems
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Experience with change management processes
