Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Logistics Manager with a specialty in Shipping to join our team. This role is remote, but requires approximately 25% travel for site visits, carrier meetings, inspections, and operational coordination.

The ideal candidate has deep expertise in domestic and international shipping operations, thrives in a fast‑paced environment, and can manage complex logistics challenges with confidence and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and optimize daily shipping operations for petroleum products and related materials.
Coordinate freight scheduling, carrier selection, and shipment tracking.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and international shipping regulations.
Maintain accurate documentation, including bills of lading, customs paperwork, and safety records.
Collaborate with internal teams to forecast shipping needs and maintain inventory flow.
Negotiate rates and contracts with carriers and logistics partners.
Monitor KPIs and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
Travel to facilities, ports, carrier offices, and operational sites as needed (approx. 25%).
Resolve shipping delays, discrepancies, and operational issues promptly.

Qualifications

5+ years of logistics management experience with a strong focus on shipping operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry
Petroleum, chemical, or industrial supply chain experience preferred.
Strong understanding of DOT, OSHA, and international shipping regulations.
Ability to manage multiple shipments, deadlines, and stakeholders simultaneously.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem‑solving skills.
Proficiency with logistics software and shipment tracking systems.
Comfortable with remote work and periodic travel.
