Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License required Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: Med/Surg experience Description: This position is for a Med/Surg Registered Nurse. The unit has a total of 34 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 6:1. There is a unit secretary on dayshift and Patient Care Technicians on all shifts. The documentation system used is Meditech. The schedule requires three 12-hour shifts per week. There is a weekend requirement of four weekend shifts per schedule. Floating to other departments may be necessary based on patient care needs. The hospital is a Level 1 trauma center and a Comprehensive Stroke Center. Advanced skills and procedures relevant to the unit are required. Navy scrubs are the required uniform. Unit-specific policies and guidelines must be adhered to. Consider joining this unit for the opportunity to work with new equipment and technology.
