Interventional Radiology Technologist - MD - $10,000 Sign-on Bonus

About this job This position offers a limited‑time $10,000 sign‑on bonus for a full‑time Interventional Radiology Technologist. MedStar Health is seeking a candidate to join our team in Baltimore and Olney, Maryland. Full‑time, 40 hour per week: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 7 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; Wednesday 7 a.m. – 5 p.m. No call, no holiday pay. PRN positions are available at Montgomery Medical Center, Good Samaritan Hospital, and Franklin Square Medical Center. Primary duties Operate and document all aspects of the cath lab, including all procedures performed. Function as a contributing member of the Interventional Radiology/Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team, working with vascular surgeons, cardiologists, radiologists, registered nurses and cardiovascular technologists. Provide the technical skills necessary to assist physicians in performing interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures. Provide a safe environment for patients during interventions. Act as a scrub assistant, ensuring strict aseptic/sterile technique compliance. Ensure adequate floor and room stock for imaging procedures. Assist in recording, storing, retrieving and analysing data obtained during interventions. Monitor patients, hemodynamic/ECG/angiographic data, recognize changes, document and report to the physician promptly. Assist in preparing radiologic and laboratory equipment for procedures, adhering to sterile technique. Maintain, evaluate and troubleshoot all interventional equipment; operate all related equipment correctly. Position patients correctly, inform them of procedure expectations and instructions. Participate in data collection and results reporting for quality improvement. Maintain a clean, safe, prepared work environment; prepare rooms for procedures. Clean, sterilise equipment and procedure tables; restock and request room supplies as needed; monitor drug supplies and notify supervisors of replenishment. Maintain current knowledge, certification and licensure; identify learning needs and seek appropriate education. Attend continuing education and hospital‑sponsored training; complete all mandatory certification requirements on time. Work effectively within and between departments; participate in inter‑departmental teams and committees, communicating unit knowledge and demonstrating constructive collaboration. Ensure appropriate sterile instruments and dosimeter badges are available; create quarterly radiation‑exposure reports; maintain yearly lead survey records and daily crash‑cart check records; precept new cardiovascular lab technologists. Assist in establishing and maintaining product PAR counts. Communicate with company representatives and procedural physicians regarding equipment availability and case scheduling. Attend system‑wide meetings and relay information back to department staff. Qualifications Vocational/technical diploma or associate degree in radiology. 5–7 years’ cath‑lab experience (preferred). ARRT license as a registered radiation technologist in Maryland. CPR certification within the past 90 days. ACLS certification. Hiring range: $38.48 – $62.52 per hour. #J-18808-Ljbffr MedStar Health
