Roles & Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility
- Monitor patient progress and report changes to the PT
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and responses
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal outcomes
Qualifications
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
- Current state license or compact license eligibility for Massachusetts
- Experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education
- Associate degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency in therapeutic exercises and modalities
- Knowledge of safety and infection control protocols
- Ability to adapt treatment techniques to individual patient needs
- Excellent documentation and time management skills
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
